Pietro Iannotti was born in Salerno, Italy, and started studying piano at age five. Since he was nine years old, he has performed publicly in recitals and with orchestras both in Italy and abroad for various musical associations and cultural institutions. Pietro received his master's degree with maximum votes and distinction at the renowned Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome and has participated in several master classes with famous musicians like Franco Medori and Franco Scala. The Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra will collaborate with Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras and the Midori Orchestra Residencies Program (ORP) to bring the outstanding violinist and educator Midori to Boulder for a five-day immersive residency during the 2018-19 season. Throughout her career, Midori has been devoted to working with youth and communities in a way that few performing artists of her caliber can claim. Through the ORP, she visits one or two mid-sized communities each year to share her impressive artistry and inclusive vision of the vital role that music and the arts can play - not only in the concert hall, but across the entire community and in the life of every citizen.
